Los Angeles, California (July 13, 2011) – Morinaga America, Inc. (www.hi-chew.com), marketing and distribution channel for HI-CHEW in the U.S., will introduce food buyers in the recreation and leisure-time industry to HI-CHEW Fruit Chews during the 2011 National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) on July 14. HI-CHEW will entertain concessionaires with samples of the fruity chews in Booth #10.
“HI-CHEW Fruit Chews are a fun, tasty treat for young and old and would be a perfect addition to the concession stand menus offered at entertainment venues,” said Toshiya Yasuda, President of Morinaga America. “The popularity of HI-CHEW has soared since our official launch in North America just three short years ago. Our fans frequent places like stadiums, arenas, movie theatres and performing arts centers, among other similar facilities, and would likely choose HI-CHEW if it were a menu option.”
Morinaga America has greeted baseball fans at Angel Stadium, home of the Anaheim Angels, and at The Coliseum, home of the Oakland Athletics, with free samples of Japan’s top-selling fruit chews over the last couple seasons. Fans love the natural fruit flavors and unique chewy texture, and always come back for more. HI-CHEW has been the #1 selling soft candy in Japan and the Far East for decades and demand for the fruit chews is rapidly growing in America. HI-CHEW comes in Strawberry, Green Apple, Melon, Mango, Banana and two new fruit-filled flavors — Grape and Peach.
